From New York to Cheongdam: How iipuda Turned Decision Fatigue Into Precision Curation
From the moment she boarded her flight from New York, she had one clear goal. She'd extend her business trip to Korea by a few days to properly receive the beauty care that only Korea could offer.
Getting started wasn't hard — all she had to do was ask friends living in Korea for clinic recommendations. But the answers she got back were all different, and once Reddit threads and search results piled on top, the options only multiplied. Which clinic excelled at which treatment, which offered the best value, which handled foreign patients well — she had neither the time nor the energy to dig deep into each one.
It became immediately clear that I was talking to someone who had advanced knowledge of treatments and clinics in Korea.
— her own words, recalling the moment she first encountered iipuda.
Today, we trace her footsteps to see exactly how the iipuda concierge turns a foreign guest's "decision fatigue" into precise curation.
Cheongdam Arden — The Gold Standard for Face Lifting, Ulthera SPT Prime
From the outset, one thing was non-negotiable for her: a private experience with thorough one-on-one attention that didn't miss the details.
Even if it meant a higher price, she didn't want a "factory-style" clinic — that was the one standard she wouldn't compromise on for this trip to Korea.
After listening to her skin concerns, iipuda's tailored recommendation was Cheongdam Arden. Among a premium face-lifting lineup curated specifically for international guests, it stood out for its clear strength: a combination of Ulthera SPT Prime and complementary reinforcement treatments.

The consultation room at Cheongdam Arden was quiet, and before the procedure, the medical team reviewed her skin condition and recovery timeline with her once more. Afterward, she received LDM and healing treatments at no extra cost, and by the next day her skin had returned to a noticeably more refined tone, with no signs of irritation or swelling.
The clinic felt calm and the consultation was very thorough. I was really surprised by my skin the next day. Skin is so smooth and clear and fine lines better.
For international guests, a first clinic visit is often the most nerve-wracking step. There's a lot to understand and decide in a short window — the procedure itself, pricing, recovery time, and communication with the medical staff. But she had already completed an initial consultation through the iipuda app.
Double chin is better
Her skin concerns, priorities, and budget were mapped out in advance, and because Cheongdam Arden was recommended on top of that groundwork, there was no need to explain everything from scratch once she arrived. This is the moment iipuda's intended "walk in and go straight to treatment" flow works exactly as designed.

The Value of Curation — Not "More," But "Exactly Right"
Her reason for choosing Korea was simple: friends had told her, again and again, that Korea is the global capital of skincare and aesthetics, and that the treatments there deliver real results. But when the moment came for her to actually decide, the biggest obstacle wasn't price — it was choice overload.
Above all, what she wanted was a private, detail-rich, one-on-one experience.
Right after she downloaded the iipuda app and started chatting with her manager, one thing became clear. The person on the other end of the screen didn't just know Korean treatments and clinics as items on a list — they had actually visited and compared many of them firsthand. That's what gave the recommendations their weight.
There are a lot of concierge apps out there, but iipuda is genuinely different. It's not built to suit everyone — it only lists clinics that have been extremely carefully selected for people who want an exclusive, tailored experience.
She said she shared the same sentiment with a Korean friend living locally. Contrary to the common assumption that "concierge services overcharge foreigners," iipuda's in-app prices match the prices outside the app, and even a Naver search turns up only clinics that are well-regarded within Korea's own local community. For her, the fact that these weren't "foreigner-only clinics with foreigner-only prices" was the single strongest reason to trust the service.
In the end, the two places she visited on this trip — Cheongdam Arden — weren't places she compared and chose herself. They were the place iipuda selected precisely for her. And as a result, she never needed to visit anywhere else.
I appreciate everything you've done for me, you really made my trip a lot easier :)

The Guest Experience iipuda Is Built Around
Time is worth more. You don't have to study beauty.
The iipuda Magazine starts from this sentence. Our guests are people who know that their own time is worth more than the time it would take to study beauty themselves. So we do the studying for them — we visit and verify in person, and we narrow every recommendation down to exactly one or two places.
Not recommending more, but recommending exactly right. And having those one or two places be enough to make an entire trip to Korea satisfying — that's the value this journey captures better than any other.
iipuda is looking for the next story to tell. What's your beauty concern? From the Korean clinics iipuda has personally visited and verified, we'll hand-select the one or two that fit you best right now.
[Q&A] Interview with Her
Q1. Why did you choose Korea (over local options in New York) for your beauty & wellness care?
I chose Korea as it is the skincare and aesthetics capital of the world. I have many friends who come here often to get great work done at a fraction of the cost of my home country
Q2. You mentioned friends in Korea recommended many clinics and it felt overwhelming — what made iipuda's curation different?
As soon as I knew, I was coming to Korea for a work trip I knew I had to extend my stay an extra few days to get some self-care in. Even before I booked my flight, I reached out to my girlfriends Who live here in Korea For their recommendations on clinics and I received so many— all different! Reddit also gave me different answers and altogether it was extremely overwhelming and confusing because certain clinics specialize in certain treatment treatments and I just did not have the time or energy to deep dive into each one. Moreover, I was interested in a more private one on one experience instead of a factory style clinic which may be cheaper, but compromises on personalization and detail. When one of my Korean friends recommended iipuda, I immediately downloaded the app and was pleasantly surprised to find myself talking to a knowledgeable, patient and kind human being being on the other line with perfect English! It became immediately clear that I was talking to someone who had advanced knowledge of treatments and clinics in Korea, and who had personally tested many of the clinics on the app themselves, which gave me great peace of mind.
Q3. What was the best thing about iipuda's support overall?
The best thing about iipudas Support was how reliable and available they always were to answer any of my questions or requests. I was particularly grateful for their transparency in the different clinic specialties and how fast they were in getting Detailed prices to me. The airport pick up was also a really nice touch and I had to keep my cute Welcome sign that they made me!
Q4. Would you visit Korea again through iipuda — and would you recommend it to friends in NY?
I would absolutely visit Korea again through iipuda And I have already recommended them to all of my friends. Sometimes I was met with skepticism because there are many concierge apps for clinics in Korea but iipuda is truly different. The types of clinic they have on their apps are not for everyone, They are extremely curated and catered to those who want an exclusive tailored experience. In fact, I was just explaining this very difference last night at dinner to a girlfriend who lives here— She herself as a Korean, who lives here is even overwhelmed and confused by the amount of clinics here! Her perception of concierge services were that they generally rip off foreigners, but I explained to her that the prices were the same on the app and off, and even if you were to check the clinics on Korean Naver, you’d see that the clinics are well regarded and reputable even within local communities, so this is not about foreigner clinics, and foreigner prices.
Q5. How did you find iipuda?
I found iipuda through a recommendation by Korean girlfriend who lives abroad in NYC (but travels back and forth quite often)
