I booked a lip touch-up when I came in for my eyebrow retouch a month ago—this was my third time getting my brows done and it didn’t hurt at all, so I finally took care of my long-time complex and did my lips too. I was worried because people kept saying lip work is painful, but they numbed me well and the procedure was so precise that it really didn’t hurt—I was pleasantly surprised. They’re very meticulous. I’m usually sensitive to pain, but any discomfort that came later was mild and tolerable. If someone really doesn’t want to feel anything, you can ask the doctor for extra numbing during the procedure and you should be fine. I did my brows with a one-month retouch and my lips the same day, and even that night there was hardly any swelling—just using lip balm made them look lively. I wish I’d done it sooner.
