I wanted to have surgery with a Zeiss machine from the start, and I looked for hospitals that offered the Pro system. I planned to get a couple more evaluations before deciding, but I liked that this clinic’s testing equipment was newer than others, the consultation manager explained things honestly and kindly, and they even have a transparent operating room with surgical footage available on YouTube. That gave me confidence to go ahead. I ended up having SMILE Pro surgery, and to my surprise it didn’t hurt at all. I felt nothing during the procedure, had only a slight ache that evening, and was back to normal the next day. For 2–3 days my focus was a bit off and near vision was slightly blurred, but my astigmatism settled quickly and my vision improved to 1.0. I’m satisfied.
